Beth MacMillan
Beth MacMillan fulfilled her dream of living and traveling in Europe when she, her husband and their two dogs moved to Denmark in 2001 for what was supposed to be a 3 year stint. The next stop was England where they lived for the next five years before returning to Denmark again last summer.
Beth has worked in a variety of jobs in her life, ranging from paralegal, to career counselor, to proofreader and editor at the World Health Organization in Copenhagen. Her favourite job, however, was working in the secondhand and antiquarian department of an independent bookshop in Hertfordshire, England where she was able to spend her days researching and pricing rare and old books for sale on the internet. Beth has always loved reading and books and considered it a distinct pleasure to spend her days surrounded by books.
Back in Denmark, she decided to take her interest in writing to the next level and begin writing articles for Suite 101 based on her experiences traveling, her love of dogs and her keen interests in history, art and reading. She has always loved writing and wrote articles for a newsletter while working as an assistant at a design outreach program in Detroit, Michigan and has contributed the occasional satirical news article to The Spoof website as well as writing them for the amusement of her friends and family. She also edits and contributes content to the Oldies Club Website which helps find adoptive homes for older dogs.
